Q.1- Tell us something about yourself,your family ,when & why did you enter in this field of competitive examination?

Ans.-

I hail from Nawalgarh (jhunjhanu)where my family is settled and did my schooling from here .My father is a retired college lecturer and my mother is a home maker I have three elder sisters in my family with whom I share a strong bond. I completed my BTech from Government Engineering College Bikaner in 2012 and got placed in TCS but that was something I never wanted to be and so with immense support of my family, I decided to drop that and chase the DREAM I had always seen to be a Civil Servant and a proud daughter.

Q.2-Typical day in your study life ?

Ans.- Since I was from non Humanities background, I started my preparation by joining spring Board Academy which continued to be the essential part of my journey.
So my day usually consisted of attending classes ,revising notes ,referring to standard texts, reading the Hindu in the starting later on when classes were over I joined a library to maintain consistency and kept attending mock tests and  revision classes along with this I spend time for entertainment with family and maintained to have a proper sleep.

Q.3-People know what books and syllabus points are to be prepared. But most of them lack consistency in their preparation. So, how do you keep study momentum going on? How do you fight against the mood swings and distractions?

Ans.- Consistency is a must for this exam and seeing the nature of exam and the time consumed mood swings and destractions were very common I remember many times when I went hopeless and helpless but I am grateful to God for the family which always backed me & showed confidence in me(including my fiancee-digvijay singh).

Besides family Shri Dilip mahecha sir proved to be a Savior who always believed in my calibre and inspired to continue the struggle.
   Watching movies and spending time thinking as to why I took up this exam kept me going again.

Q.4- Tips for prelims?

Ans.- Prelims is a test of objectivity and can be cracked easily with proper coverage and understanding of syllabus.
* emphasising  on fundamental subjects, Rajasthan GK, current issues and economic survey *practicing last year solved paper provides a better Insight of one's preparation and is unavoidable.

Q.5- Tips for mains?

Ans.- Where prelims is a test of knowledge mains require knowledge along with better writing skills and presentation.

 *Regular writing practice and attending test series help acquire this skill as well as teaches time management when completing the paper is a challenge.

 *Along with that one has to identify his her strength in terms of paper 1, 2, 3  & 4

* strength needs to be exploited better to fetch excellent marks and weakness be removed to avoid any uncertainty.

Q.6- Format for answers- bullet or paragraph?

Ans.- I wrote mostly in Bullet format for 2 markers and 5 markers.
For long answer I wrote in paragraph and included Bullet points as and where needed.

Q.7-Did you follow the introduction,body ,conclusion format?

Ans.-Yes,i followed the introduction,body,conclusion format for long answers basically.

Q.8-Approach in exam.?

Ans.- My approach was to attempt questions that I knew followed by those about which I was not that sure and left those I was completely unaware of.
* I also plan to fetch good marks in 2nd and 4th paper (where I  partially succeeded).
* And to complete the paper timely.

Q.9-How did you prepare for RAS Interview ?

Ans.- For interview I attended some classes at my Institute where the basic do's and don'ts were taught.
I thoroughly prepared my biodata, locality, school college, B tech subjects ,current issues and the questions shared in Groups( those asked in ongoing interview then).
Mostly questions striked from the above ,I attended various mocks at my Institute for building up confidence which helped a great deal.

Q10.-If you were not selected, what was your career backup plan?

Ans.- I never thought of a backup plan, this was the exam I wanted to give my all and so would have continued till the last attempt .
Though I got selected as executive officer( dlb) a month before the result came.

Ans.- This journey is a lesson of life itself .It has molded me from a not so serious student to a better citizen ,made me away aware of my own strengths and weaknesses .I learnt that there is no greater virtue then hard work and persistence.
 For true aspirants I would first say that no one can beat you other than you yourself, so just keep faith in yourself ,give your honest hundred percent and nothing can fail you ."Everything in life has a beautiful ending if it is not beautiful it's not the ending".

Q.1-अपनी पारिवारिक पृष्ठभूमि के बारे में बताइये ,आपने प्रतियोगी परीक्षा की तैयारी का निर्णय कब और क्यों लिया ?

Ans.- * मेरे पिताजी सेवानिवृत्त RPS वह माताजी गृहणी है मेरे पति निजी महाविद्यालय चलाने के साथ-साथ अध्यापन कार्य से जुड़े हुए हैं तथा दो पुत्र अध्यनरत हैं।
 * कॉलेज पढ़ाई के दौरान ही सन 2001 में मेरा विवाह होने व उसके पश्चात घरेलू व बच्चों की जिम्मेदारियों के चलते मैं कभी सिविल सेवा परीक्षा की तैयारी नहीं कर पाई लेकिन अपने सपनों को पूरा करने हेतु अंतत: 2013 में मैंने RAS परीक्षा तैयारी का संकल्प लिया ।एवं इस सत्य को आत्मसात किया कि" अभी नहीं तो कभी नहीं "इसे हेतु अपने परिवार को भी राजी किया।

Q.2-अपने जीवन में संघर्ष के निर्णायक मोड़ के बारे में बताइये?

Ans.- प्रतिष्ठित निजी शिक्षण संस्थानों में कार्य अनुभव के बावजूद मेरा जुनून लोक सेवाओं के प्रति ही था। 13 वर्ष पूर्व देखे गए सपने को पूरा करने की दिशा में है यह  स्वर्णिम कदम था तथा दृढ़ संकल्पित होकर जब आगे बढ़ी तो परिस्थितियां स्वतः ही अनुकूल होती गई ।जब एक महिला अपने कैरियर व् परिवार को साथ लेकर चलती है तो वह 24 घंटे के दिन में लगभग 48 घंटे जितना कार्य करती है, जिस की पहचान शायद ही कोई करता है अतः समय प्रबंधन मेरे लिए सबसे बड़ी चुनौती था लेकिन धीरे-धीरे परिवार व् बच्चों के सहयोग से यह कार्य भी आसान होता गया।

Q.3-अंतिम लक्ष्य प्राप्ति तक कैसे आप कैसे उतार- चढ़ावों से विचलित   हुए बिना निरंतर ऊर्जावान बने रहे?

Ans.- शादी के 13 वर्षों बाद परीक्षा की तैयारी का विचार स्वत: ही समय सीमा बांध देता है ।पारिवारिक व बच्चों की जिम्मेदारियों के साथ अधिक समय तक तैयारी को निरंतर जारी रखना मेरे लिए बहुत कठिन था अतः मुझे अपने प्रथम प्रयास को ही अंतिम प्रयास बनाना था और इसके लिए मैं दृढ़ संकल्पित थी इसी दृढ़ संकल्प ने मुझे अंतिम लक्ष्य प्राप्ति तक ऊर्जावान बनाए रखा।

Q.4- RAS प्रारम्भिक परीक्षा की रणनीति के बारे में विस्तार से बताइये?

Ans- प्रारंभिक परीक्षा हेतु तथ्यों की जानकारी से अधिक महत्वपूर्ण कंसेप्ट की समझ है जो मुख्य परीक्षा का आधार भी बनती है ।अत: सिलेबस के सभी विषयों के आधारभूत ज्ञान (fundamental knowledge)के अतिरिक्त समसामयिकी का दैनिक स्तर पर मैंने अध्ययन किया।

Q.5- RAS मुख्य परीक्षा की तैयारी की रणनीति के बारे में विस्तार से   बताइए?

Ans.- *मुख्य परीक्षा की तैयारी हेतु मैंने आधारभूत अवधारणाओं की समझ के अतिरिक्त उनके विश्लेषण पर अधिक जोर दिया। किसी भी विषय वस्तु पर आलोचना, समालोचना व अपने स्वयं के विचारों को संतुलित रुप से प्रकट करने का अभ्यास किया । समसामयिकी स्थानीय राष्ट्रीय व अंतरराष्ट्रीय विषयों पर अपनी समझ विकसित की तथा इस हेतु राष्ट्रीय समाचार चैनल के कुछ कार्यक्रमों को नियमित रूप से देखा।
 * इसके अतिरिक्त बड़े प्रश्नों (200 words)के उत्तर प्रारूप का अभ्यास भी किया। उत्तर लेखन की दिशा में स्प्रिंग बोर्ड संस्थान द्वारा आयोजित टेस्ट सीरीज विशेष रुप से लाभदायक रही।

Q.6-आपने साक्षात्कार हेतु तैयारी कैसे की?

Ans.- साक्षात्कार की तैयारी हेतु मैंने कई मॉक साक्षात्कार दिए, उत्कर्ष संस्थान द्वारा आयोजित साक्षात्कार कार्यशाला विशेष रूप से लाभदायक रही ,जिसमें कई विशेषज्ञों द्वारा साक्षात्कार कौशल के बारे में जानकारी दी गई।
साक्षात्कार के लिए मैंने समसामयिक मुद्दों ,अपने व्यक्तिगत विवरण(daf), पूर्व कार्य अनुभव ,व hobby से संबंधित प्रश्नों की तैयारी की।
मेरा साक्षात्कार चेयरमैन श्री ललित पवार सर के बोर्ड में हुआ। मुझसे व्यक्तिगत विवरण के अतिरिक्त  छात्र राजनीति में मेरा अनुभव, महिला सशक्तिकरण शिक्षा क्षेत्र की कमियां व उपाय, पब्लिक व सरकारी विद्यालय के परिणामों में अंतर ,इसके कारण उपाय, situation based imaginry प्रश्न ,समसामयिकी व ओलंपिक खेलों से संबंधित प्रश्न पूछे गए।

Q.7- अगर आपका चयन RAS में नहीं होता तो आप क्या करते,back up plan?

Ans.- परीक्षा की तैयारी के प्रारंभ करते समय मैंने अपने लिए कोई बैकअप प्लान नहीं रखा क्योंकि प्रथम मैं बहुत ही सकारात्मक ऊर्जा के साथ बढ़ रही थी। द्वितीय यह है कि जहां विकल्प अधिक होते हैं, वहां कभी संकल्प नहीं बनते।अत: विफलता का विचार मस्तिष्क में दूर-दूर तक नहीं था।

ans.-   * मै साधारण मध्यम वर्गीय परिवार से हूँ। मेरे पिताजी सेवानिवृत प्राध्यापक,माताजी व अर्धांगिनी (M.A.,B.ed.) गृहणी है,दो पुत्र अध्ययनरत है।

           * मुझे आजीविका के लिए नर्सिंग सेवा का आधार मिल गया था,मार्क्स के कथनानुसार "दुनिया के मजदूरों एक हो जाओ,तुम्हारे पास खोने को कुछ नहीं है" का अनुसरण कर मैने अपने आपको क्षमतानुसार आजमाने का दृढ संकल्प किया और प्रथम बार RAS 2010 में अपने मित्रों की प्रेरणा एवं सहयोग से शामिल हुआ और सफल रहा।

Q.2-अपने जीवन में संघर्ष के निर्णायक मोड़ के बारे में बताइये?

Ans- *विद्यालय अध्ययन के बाद चौराहे पर खड़ा में नर्सिंग सेवा के मार्ग पर चला गया,वहाँ मेरा बोद्धिक पक्ष मुझे कचोटने लगा। मै निशब्द,निराश ,निस्सार होकर अवसाद की गहराइयों में खो गया। वहाँ मेरे पास दो ही विकल्प शेष थे, या तो मै जीवन की अँधेरी काल कोठरी में हमेशा के लिए कैद होकर रह जाऊँ या संघर्ष कर स्वर्णिम उजाले का आलिंगन करूँ,मैने अपने आतंरिक स्व को उजागर कर संघर्ष रूपी श्रेष्ठता का मार्ग चुना और स्वयं को साबित किया।

Q.3-अंतिम लक्ष्य प्राप्ति तक कैसे आप कैसे उतार- चढ़ावों से विचलित   हुए बिना निरंतर ऊर्जावान बने रहे?

Ans.- अध्ययन के दौरान उतार चढाव एक कटु सत्य है,लेकिन यदि आपमे वह जज्बा,लगन,आग रूपी ईंधन है जो आपकी स्व प्रेरणा की मशाल को सदैव प्रज्जवलित रखे तो दुनिया में कोई ताकत नहीं जो आपको लक्ष्य से विचलित कर सके।

Q.4- RAS प्रारम्भिक परीक्षा की रणनीति के बारे में विस्तार से बताइये?

Ans.- *RAS प्रारम्भिक परीक्षा की तैयारी में पुराने प्रश्न पत्रों का   योजनाबद्ध अध्ययन करें ,पाठ्यक्रम का हमेशा अनुसरण करें ,प्रत्येक विषय वह बिंदु तक अपनी सामान्य समझ विकसित करें धैर्य बनाएं रखें क्योंकि सामान्य ज्ञान में अपेक्षित स्तर बनाने के लिए एक से डेढ़ वर्ष का समय लग जाता है।

         * नवीन तथ्यों व समसामयिकी बिंदुओं का स्मरण करें प्रतिदिन प्रेक्टिस पेपर की सहायता से अपना मूल्यांकन करते रहें ।RAS में 16 विषयों के समुच्चय में अपने प्रभाव क्षेत्रों में पकड़ कायम रखते हुए शेष सभी विषयों में अपनी सामान्यज्ञता विकसित करें परीक्षा में मेरे द्वारा प्रतिपादित rabbit, deer,wolf,tiger (RDWT) सिद्धांत का पालन करें।

Q.5- RAS मुख्य परीक्षा की तैयारी की रणनीति के बारे में विस्तार से   बताइए?

Ans- *RAS मुख्य परीक्षा का आधार /सार श्रेष्ठ उत्तर लेखन शैली है। गहन अध्ययन करने वाले परीक्षार्थियों में ज्ञान व सूचनाओं का संकलन का स्तर कमोबेश एक सा रहता है। श्रेष्ठ उत्तर लेखन शैली (कोयल शैली) विषय के सार को प्रश्न की मांग के अनुसार अपने शब्दों में प्रभावी तरीके से प्रस्तुत करना है ,जिसमें प्रवाह हो,आरंभ व अंत सारभूत व समीचीन हो और जो परीक्षक को सम्मोहित कर पूर्ण अंक प्रदान करने हेतु बाध्य कर दें।

          * मुख्य परीक्षा की तैयारी में विषयों की मानक पुस्तकों व् स्तरीय कोचिंग  संस्थाओं के नोट्स का अध्ययन कर विषय के प्रभाव क्षेत्र (Area of importance)एवं key words  पर अपनी पकड़ बनाकर विषय वार उनको लिखकर बार बार दोहराना चाहिए ।एक विषय के लिए एक दो मानक पुस्तक का ही प्रयोग करें अपने उत्तर के महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा को उसी पेन से अंडरलाइन कर देवे।

           * मुख्य परीक्षा से पूर्व मानक टेस्ट सीरीज का प्रयोग कर समय प्रबंधन ,लेखन शैली एवं सामान्य त्रुटियों में आवश्यक सुधार किया जा सकता है।

          * मुख्य परीक्षा में समय प्रबंधन कर प्रश्नों के अंको के अनुपात में सभी को समय देवें। RDWT सिद्धांत व उत्तर लेखन की कोयल शैली को अपनाएं ।द्वितीय व चतुर्थ प्रश्न पत्र पर विशेष ध्यान देवें हिंदी व अंग्रेजी व्याकरण को मजबूत करें।
         * विभिन्न शब्द सीमा वह अंकों वाले प्रश्नों में रणनीति निम्नानुसार होनी चाहिए-

(01) 15 शब्दों/2 अंकों वाले प्रश्नों में -            4/5 मुख्य तथ्य या सारभूत बातें वाक्य निर्माण की आवश्यकता नहीं

 (02) 50 शब्दों/5 अंकों वाले प्रश्नों में-            प्रथम वाक्य उत्तर प्रस्तावना (सारभूत और प्रभावी),5/7पॉइंट बनाकर रचना अनुसार मुख्य  बातें लिखना। अंतिम वाक्य उत्तर- सार (सकारात्मक व समाधान मूलक)
(03) 100 शब्दों/10 अंकों वाले प्रश्नों में-       प्रथम दो पंक्तियां उत्तर प्रस्तावना( सारभूत प्रभावी)
                                                            मध्य भाग प्रश्न की माँग अनुसार पैराग्राफ ,अंतर बीच में लाइन खींच कर,               चित्र बनाकर समझाना, अंतिम दो पंक्तियाँ( आशावादी व समाधान मूलक)उत्तरों को वर्तमान प्रासंगिकता से जोड़ना।

Q.6-आपने साक्षात्कार हेतु तैयारी कैसे की?

Ans.-* आर ए एस साक्षात्कार के लिए मैंने अपने स्नातक के विषयों, समसामयिक मुद्दों, रुचि के विषयों ,जॉब ,व्यक्तिगत विवरण ,हॉबी से संभावित प्रश्नों को तैयार किया ।साक्षात्कार दिवस की मुख्य घटनाओं समाचारों के बारे में जाना तथा साक्षात्कार की तैयारी करने वाले पांच से छह लोगों का ग्रुप बनाकर तीन चार बार छद्म साक्षात्कार का अभ्यास किया।

        *   RPSC चेयरमैन पवार सर के बोर्ड में मेरा साक्षात्कार था, मैंने सहज और सरल रहकर सत्य निष्ठा ,आत्मविश्वास व विनम्रता के साथ प्रश्नों के उत्तर दिए। मैं अपनी अभिव्यक्ति से संतुष्ट था।

Q.7- अगर आपका चयन RAS में नहीं होता तो आप क्या करते,back up plan?

Ans- मैं पूर्व में ही RAS 2012 में RTS के पद पर चयनित हूं ,RAS तो मैं पदोन्नति  से भी बन जाता लेकिन मुझे लगा कि मैं इससे ज्यादा भी कर सकता हूं मैंने 2013 में केवल एक पद RAS हेतु ही परीक्षा दी थी।

Q.1- Tell us something about yourself,your family ,when & why did you enter in this field of competitive examination?

I did my post graduation in2007 & got married the same year & moved to Bangalore as my husband was working there then.I went on to have a son & was busy raising him up.When he started going to school & i found myself with enough time to do something.RAS caught my attention as my brother was preparing for civil service exam then & my family and parents (both were in teaching) encouraged me to take up the challenge.

Q.2-Typical day in your study life ?

After clearing RAS pre ,I joined springboard academy for further prepration. & from there only i started preparing seriously.I completely relied upon the material provided to us there .I attended regular classes that helped building foundation of subjects &  notes helped me to revise topic effectively within short span.I took as many test as possible to keep the topics revised & updated.Along with this i used to read The hindu & one local newspaper daily.

Q.3-People know what books and syllabus points are to be prepared. But most of them lack consistency in their preparation. So, how do you keep study momentum going on? How do you fight against the mood swings and distractions?

FOR BOOKS-

 Since i read only laxmikant (polity) & rajasthan adhyayan apart from springboard notes, I personally felt no such problem,But for those who are preparing all by themselves , a good understanding of syllabus & practicing previous year question paper will do the thing.By going with the changing syllabus & pattern now in the RAS , i would like to advise the aspirants to go with the syllabus ,each & every topic mentioned in the syllabus should be covered to avoid uncertainty.

MOMENTUM ,MOOD SWINGS & CONSISTENCY-

Prepare a schedule & stick to it honestly ,for me to keep up the momentum ,make small targets like weekly or even daily & achieve them sincerely.Take frequent breaks & utilize them to rejuvenate,but i won't advise a break longer than 2 ,3 days at max while preparing for any competitive exam.

Q.4- Tips for prelims?

Basic concepts of history,polity,geography ,rajasthan gk,economy  & science ,practice maths and reasoning very well as it will help you in mains also &  keep your current knowledge updated.Take as many mock as possible because it is an art to attempt the paper after a certain point.

Q.5- Tips for language paper?

It is the most predictable paper among all 4.Just prepare grammar & practice writing essay ,precis,translation & comprehension.

Q.6- Format for answers- bullet or paragraph?

I wrote both depending upon nature of questions.

Q.7-Did you follow the introduction,body ,conclusion format?

No, only things i tried to care for while writing answer in mains were-The flow should not break,the answer should look homogeneous.It should be balanced yet dynamic & should convey your thoughts.

Q.8-Approach in exam.?

I tried to attempt all the questions but avoided attempting questions demanding clear facts in answers which i was clueless about.I attempted start to finish to avoid any chaos.

Q.9- Did you draw any diagram?

Yes, I  used diagram or flow chart or tables wherever possible & i believe it enhances the quality of your answers.

Q.10-How did you prepare for RAS Interview ?

I attended mock at springboard academy.

INterview was mainly based upon my DAF, graduation subjects,current affairs & hobbies.

Q.12-Through this struggle and success, what have your learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition? What is your message to the new aspirants?

I have learnt that it's never too late to start something new we just have to remove the mental block and push the boundries to come out of comfort zone.If we try something with all our focus & determination,there is no reason we can't achieve our goal.
